Redlands California

Temple #20
Redlands, California
October 11, 2014

The next temple in our California trip; Redlands California. This was another beautiful temple in the more Southern California area. It has a lot of neat history to it, and so does the land it sits on. I love going to LDS.org and going to the Temples page and finding random history about each Temple. Each one is unique in its own way, and many have miraculous stories behind how they came to be. For example, the land which the Redlands temple was built on was part of the first colony in San Bernardino, and they had planned a sight for a temple in that area in the 1850’s. Unfortunately It took over 150 years for it to be built.
The Redlands Temple is a smaller temple. As we drove up to it I expected it to be bigger, but it wasn't. Yet it's not as small as some of the other temples we will have gone to.
It is another gorgeous temple and I loved the opportunity to go. When we first walked it we were greeted by not only temple workers, but a beautiful stain glass window. The entrance to most temples are always beautiful and captivating, always exciting me to see the rest of the temple.
It was our last temple we did on that fun trip to California. It was sad to be finished and head home, but we knew we had made the right choices by going to the temples, making the trip more than worth it.
The area it is built in is also a pretty area. Ivy and I went out to eat afterwards in a small cafe, where we had a great breakfast. We then headed home on that long drive back to Kamas. We were glad to have done all the Southern California temples now, and couldn't wait to see what temple would be next!
