Gilbert Arizona Temple

Temple #24
Gilbert, Arizona

Our Arizona trip continues! Ivy and I were still with her parents and her Grandma Ivy, traveling around the diverse state of Arizona.
After the Gila Valley Temple, we drove straight to Gilbert, which is in the suburbs of Phoenix. The Gilbert Temple has become one of my favorites. It's similar to Ogden, in where it's new and made out of the best materials. The grounds were pretty and there were still flowers. Arizona sure is a nice place in the winter!
As you can tell from our picture, there is a lot of brilliant stained glass, which at night glows brightly. It was a wonderful sight as we got there around sunset.
We went into the Temple and we were blown away. The interior was highly decorated and gorgeous. They used the flower from a yucca as a design for many things, including the stained glass. There were flowers in all the motifs, in the wood work, in the tile, carpet, ceiling, and everywhere else we looked. It was beautifully done. The craftsmanship and detail put into this temple reminded me of the Ogden Temple. It was just a great experience going through it, being very pleasing to the eyes.
We did a session, and highly enjoyed it. We left with full hearts, and smiles on our faces. This certainly was one of my favorite temples so far. The thought and architecture they put into the design is amazing. Our trip just kept getting better, and we couldn't wait to go to the next temple
