Bountiful Utah Temple

Temple #6
Bountiful, Utah
August 17, 2013

I always mix up this temple with the Mount Timpanogas Utah Temple, because they are nearly identical. Yet where they are located changes everything.

The Bountiful Temple sits on the foot of the mountains behind it, and overlooks the valley below. The view is stunning and wonderful. In the distance you can see the Great Salt Lake, and hills and mountains rolling to the horizon. The temple is serene and majestic on the side of the hill, and can be seen from nearly anywhere in the valley below.
Ivy and I were still engaged at this time, and we were both living at home, so I would go up North to her house every weekend to spend time with her. We had nothing to do on one Saturday, so we headed to a new temple.
When we first started getting serious, and when we were engaged, we talked about how our dreams, (mostly Ivy’s at first) were to visit all the temples in the world. So, whenever we had free time, such as that weekend in August, we did what we could to go to a temple. There was rarely a time where we didn't have a trip of some sort planned to go to the temple, whether it was a day trip, or a week long trip.
When you first walk up to the temple, if it's a nice sunny day, or in the evening, then you'll see the vivid beauty of the stain glass in the spire. The temple is beautiful and we have gone to it a few times, with just each other or with Ivys parents and other family members, including Ivys brother and sister-in-law, and her cousin Lana. It's always fun to go with family members and this is what I remember most about going to the Bountiful Temple.
