Sacramento California Temple

Temple #77
Sacramento California
July 28, 2017

We had just left Nevada and were excited to be in California. We dropped down out of the mountains and ended up in Sacramento. It was difficult finding the temple at first but we found it. After winding our way up a small road to the top of a little hill we came to the temple.
There were beautiful flowers and blossoms lining the path up to a fountain which was in front of the temple. Ivy and I, along with Brad and Erin, went in and did sealings. The sealer asked us if we have done sealings recently. We replied “no, it's been a few hours.” The Sealers laughed, because we really had just done the Reno Temple.
It was a beautiful temple with many unique things to it. It had the same layout as the Redlands and Newport Beach Temples, being a little smaller, but looked like the Bountiful and Mount Timpanogos Temples. The inside was different though and gorgeous. The carpet was blue which accentuated the beautiful dark wood trims and mouldings.
We went into the Celestial room and sat for a while enjoying the peace and beauty. The chandeliers were very unique, with copper on them. There was also copper, gold and silver all throughout the Celestial room, it was gleaming!
On our way out we peaked our heads in the endowment room and looked at the mural, which was of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We were sad to not have done a session but we were still happy to have gone to the temple.
We left the temple and were filled with joy.  Although we had been to the temple in Reno we were happy to go again. With all the driving and traveling it was nice to go to the temples. We then left Sacramento and headed to the San Francisco Bay Area. It was a pretty drive and we ended up driving over the Golden Gate Bridge. We went to a beach and walked around and took pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. We were finally in San Francisco and we were so excited!
